SOLVING A NATION II

SOLVING A NATION II

SOLVING A NATION - Intro - Wednesday, October 27, 2010

"Sometimes it is hard to tell what disturbing complications should be attended to first as it relates to tackling the various problems of NIGERIA, NIGERIANS' and at most development in Nigeria, as an entity in Africa.

As an objective Social and Scientific Observer/ Analyst of trends and developments in Nigeria, I would like to follow my views without biases and political or ethical sentiments. I would also forge further to publish pictures and materials of fact upon all arguments, so as to achieve an approximate term of understanding on finding a solution for these highly disturbing and embarrassing problems that have attached themselves with the egos we live with as Nigerians'.

I wouldn't like to attempt a debate on this vices and the various trends that have trailed them since Independence or since their obvious appearance in our Societies but would try as much to attend to them with passionate collaboration of public opinions and contributions, one article at a time.

Also, I wouldn't want to be negligent of the fact that these vices are of reoccurring instance, which take their turn on us by the speed of the days and dwell in various hiding places in our activities and engagements, so i shall tackle each occurrence as it appears.

For more convenience of solving issues of such magnitude, I shall attempt to list areas for resolution according to priority.

1. Security

2. Power and Resources
2. Education
3. National Orientation
4. Religion
5. Employment
6. Politics
7. Constitution

"Am so bordered about the Nigeria 2011 election ...???

My curiosity; on why a single Party's Politics has been used as an envelop for a successful electoral propellant for good governance. what happen to other party platforms?

Does this mean no viable opposition Parties?

Does this mean no other Party agenda outside the ruling party?

With the cry out for Jonathan candidature on the basis of NO ZONING; is this a sign of Nigerians showing no confidence of the
platform of the Opposition Parties?

HAS NIGERIANS FINALLY ACCEPTED A ONE PARTY SYSTEM, because pol-tricking in the ruling Party is now pointing to the SOUTH?

Am worried, am bordered, .....

I SEE INTELLIGENT NIGERIANS ESTIMATING THE COST FOR THE CELEBRATION OF NIGERIA AT 5O BUT ...

NO INTELLIGENT NIGERIAN IS SEEING THE FACT THAT WE ARE MOBBING OURSELVES BY OURSELVES AT 50, BY ALLOWING A SINGLE PARTY POL-TRICK TO DETERMINE THE DIRECTION OF OUR DEMOCRATIC FUTURE.

The above extract also appeared on this blog on Saturday, September 11, 2010, titled A CONCERNED CONSCIENCE

Hmm mm, Writing this blog piece gained pressure on me after a disturbing and rather annoying debate between some elite of the social class at a nearby corner degenerate to a broil. After gaining inquires on the the subject of the argument I felt disappointed rather ....

Anyway, the topic would best be described as every Nigerians' present Nightmare, " PRESENT NATIONAL INSECURITY - A REFLECTION OF WEAKNESS AND NONCONFORMITY WITH THE PRESENT ADMINISTRATION OF PRESIDENT, DR GOODLUCK EBELE JONATHAN".

On a thorough examination, would you support this argument or dismiss it? Personally, i have opt to first refer to my first two extract from my previous post, before attempting to take a position on this debate because a deduction from the first post shows that the country was already besieged in a cloud of  1. Insecurity,
2. Lack of Power and Resources Management 3. Education Abuse 4. Efficient National Orientation, 5. Religions Conflicts 6. Unemployment 7. Politics Confusion and  8. Constitution abuse,
and I was on an i attempt to unbiasedly contribute an opine on a possible solutions to help escape the Nation from the sort of irony we find ourselves facing now, which is a perfect description of the popular Fela's song "Suffering and Smiling".

Secondly, on a preview of the later, a piece titled A CONCERNED CONSCIENCE, I mentioned, of how I saw Nigerians' plundering into an episode of political jargon just because of a few persons self desire and miniature pol tricking, which had required an intelligent or a rather more logical attention from Nigerians' to understand it was just move to get them sited on a can on gun powder, which, could be averted for the sake of salvaging the Nation and its young democracy from this present day wrought of lost of confidence rather a display of international shame and near mental genocide

An episode that could be used to depict the Idris Abdul karim's Song titled "Nigeria Jaga Jaga"

Anyway, either side you take your view from, you sure would reach a point of understanding that there is a problem in the Land and we hope it doesn't degenerate to what the popular novelist Chinua Achebe described in his book, titled, THINGS FALL APART.

At this elusive point of the catastrophe of insecurity and other hard knock effects hitting the Nation, I still feel it would inhuman for anyone to assume that PRESIDENT DR. GOODLUCK EBELE JONATHAN, is solely responsible but other word, I am of a great opinion the we read back through history to find where this pains got their roots and the find a solution would not be far searched.

Like a statement recorded on account the President, saying:
.....Something must have gone wrong along the line from 1914 when the Southern and Northern Protectorates were amalgamated till date. When you look at the 1914 almagamation of the Southern and Northern Protectorates, and between the period Nigeria got independence in 1960 and the time I was sworn-in as president, you will agree with me that I am not the problem of Nigeria. I have just stayed two years and the problems have been there before me. What we must do is to make a change for the development of Nigeria. We cannot check out like that of the  television man.....”.

SATURDAY TRIBUNE NEWSPAPER: Something Is Wrong With Nigeria –Jonathan •Says: ‘I’m Not The Problem’ Written by Jude Ossai, Enugu Saturday, 19 May 2012

Though, one wouldn't have expected such a public statement from the President, as it describes an act of non competency in managing the country to a safe haven away from these pain, but he sure did make a sense on a reference for finding a solution towards, SOLVING A NATION ...

And this statement has engineered my search back in to History to find the possible analytic solution for the rising problems in Nigeria.

I intend to apply Principle of Research methodology towards my approach to SOLVING A NATION, which shall include the adoption of the Secondary data collection and a later introduction of Primary data collection methods. The Data analysis shall be carried with a sense of unbiased, impatience social dialoguing its the public, which is expected to contribute through their comments and final I presume I more collaborative conclusion or rather solution will be reach.
